It’s OK If You Don’t Actually Like THIS in Disney World

We listen, and we don’t judge.

Magic Kingdom

When it comes to Disney World, there are some popular consensus takes. For example, most people start in the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT, prefer churros at Nomad Lounge, and LOVE Rise of the Resistance.  These aren’t exactly hot takes, but having the OPPOSITE opinion? Yeah, those takes are definitely en fuego. While we’ve been known to have some hot takes, we turned to YOU, our readers, to tell us your Disney World opinions that buck the trend.

We asked our readers on Facebook, “What do you hate that everyone else seems to love at Disney World?” and ya’ll did not disappoint!

While EPCOT festivals can be a big draw, many of you agree with Reader Deena, who wrote, “All the festivals in Epcot’s World Showcase. I would like to enjoy Epcot again without all the booths and long lines for expensive samples of food.”

Honestly, while we, ourselves, are fans of the festivals, we still get it. Festival crowds can be unbearable, and sometimes we just want to enjoy EPCOT in its most simple form without all the added bells and whistles.

When discussing things they hate that everyone else loves, Reader Allison wrote, “What I call the devil ride or what Disney calls Space Mountain 🤣”…and we’re starting to think this is a hot take that’s really been catching on.

Space Mountain is a beloved Magic Kingdom attraction, but it’s awkward to get in and out of, and it’s an incredibly bumpy and sometimes painful ride experience. If you want a smoother and more modern experience, we recommend checking out its California counterpart.

Reader Sarah added, “Space Mountain aka OW MY BACK”. We feel that all too well, Sarah.

Reader Scott added Tomorrowland Speedway to the list, while Reader Joann indicated that Jungle Cruise isn’t a must-do.

Reader Nick wrote, “I wouldn’t say Hate, but I’m not a huge fan of The Tiki Room” and Reader Amanda aired some grievances with “it’s a small world”, writing, “It’s a small world about made me lose my mind 😵‍💫”

“it’s a small world”

All in all, fans had problems with all sorts of popular attractions (including uber-popular rides like Rise of the Resistance), further reiterating that people are going to have their ride preferences AND THAT’S OK!

The World-Famous Jungle Cruise

We also saw some food hot takes. Reader Traci got some likes by writing, “Starbucks – but to be fair, I don’t like it outside of Disney either. 😉” and that’s definitely a take that isn’t uncommon these days. People can be pretty picky about their coffee!

While answers were all over the place, we did see one popular snack dissed frequently in the Facebook thread — cheeseburger spring rolls.

Reader Angie wrote, “The cheeseburger spring rolls. I’ve tried them on several occasions but they are just not my cup of tea.”

Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

Found at Magic Kingdom, this snack is pretty popular. With that said, it was also a popular answer to our question of what you HATE at Disney World.

The cheesburger steamed pods bao buns at Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom also popped up a few times. While we’re fans of these, we totally get that many may find them off-putting. To each their own!
