Planning a trip to Disney World and not sure where you should eat while you’re there? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place!

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney World restaurants — including where you should definitely eat and where you should skip. We recently stopped by Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Hollywood Studios to try the new menu items, and we are bringing you our FULL review!
Background
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater transports you back in time to the 1950s, where drive-in movies were all the rage. This highly themed restaurant is dripping in nostalgia and retro fun.

On the screen, a loop of black-and-white sci-fi trailers and quirky cartoons plays — think giant alien brains, atomic monsters, flying saucers, and all the fun that comes with kitschy sci-fi movies!

Atmosphere
The entire restaurant is themed to look like an outdoor drive-in movie theater. The ceiling resembles the night sky with twinkling lights to mimic stars, palm trees line the backdrop, and glowing neon signs flicker softly in the distance, setting the scene for the coziest nostalgic mood.

Guests sit inside vintage car-shaped booths, lined up in rows, all facing a giant movie screen.

There are also themed picnic-style tables available for seating, offering a bit more space with a similar view of the movie screen.

But enough about that, what are we eating?!
Food & Drinks
First up, we grabbed the new Feature Film Burger for $26. This is made with their signature blend of beef topped with sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, and house-made sauerkraut served on a pretzel bun.

The burger felt a little bit overdone, although we really enjoyed the toppings! There was lots of corned beef that was super thin and tender and the sauerkraut added a great acidity to the burger. There was definitely enough to taste, but if you are a huge fan of sauerkraut you might feel like you want more (since it was so good!).
The sauce on this burger tasted similar to a Thousand Island dressing that really brought everything together beautifully.

All in all, it was everything there is to love about a Reuben, with a burger included. We do wish the pretzel bun was a bit fluffier, but it complemented everything well. This was our favorite of the three sandwiches we ordered!
We also scored the Cyborg-er for $26. This is also made with their signature blend of beef, topped with griddled pastrami and pepper jack, lettuce, and heirloom tomato, drizzled with house-made Carolina mustard sauce.

Honestly, this one didn’t quite wow us. The pastrami was decent and had a somewhat smoky flavor, but the heirloom tomato, unfortunately, just tasted like an underripe tomato. The Carolina mustard sauce was slightly undetectable and we wish there was a bit more because, with what we could taste, it had a great tanginess that worked really well with the burger. The burger had a thick patty, and it was cooked very well.
And we couldn’t leave without also ordering the Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich for $22. This features fried chicken thigh topped with ham and melted Swiss cheese on a bed of arugula with our signature maple dijon served on a brioche bun.

The chicken itself was very bland, and it had kind of an odd taste that made this sandwich not too tasty. There also wasn’t enough of the toppings to really make it taste like a proper cordon bleu sandwich.

The sauce pretty much just tasted like honey mustard and we wish the cheese was a bit more melty. Overall, this was our least favorite of the three.
To drink, we picked up the Oreo Cookie Milkshake for $7.25 to fit the classic drive-in movie vibe.

The milkshake was thick and creamy and had lots of Oreo flavor. It seemed a bit smaller than typical milkshakes, but still a good amount without being overly huge. Overall, this was classic and tasty!
And for dessert, we ordered the Cereulan Moon for $9.50. This features a chocolate mousse dome with strawberry filling on a graham cracker tart with a hibiscus sponge, green space dust, and chocolate-caramel sauce.

The chocolate mousse was thick and smooth and had lots of chocolatey flavor. It was definitely on the dense side, so if you are hoping for a fluffy mousse, this won’t be it. The strawberry filling had a really fresh strawberry taste to it and was in a bit of syrup, but it wasn’t overly syrupy and sugary, which we really enjoyed.

The hibiscus sponge cake, however, just tasted like typical sponge cake and didn’t hold any of the hibiscus flavoring. And when it comes to the space dust, we weren’t really sure what it was due to its lack of flavor. It was more for show!
Magic or Tragic?

- You love old-school sci-fi vibes and want to dine inside a ’50s-style convertible under the stars.
- You’re looking for a totally unique dining experience—the theming here is one of a kind!
- You want some solid burgers, milkshakes, and classic American eats.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You want bright, chatty, social dining — this one’s all about low lighting and a quiet atmosphere.
- You’re not into burgers or fried food — options are limited for adventurous or health-focused eaters.
