How time flies! This year marks the 50th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster classic, Jaws, and there’s a big splash in store for the celebration.

To celebrate the iconic film’s 50th, there is a lot in store, from exclusive entertainment at Universal parks and Jaws: The Exhibition to a theatrical re-release, new merch, and more! The best is coming for those day-one Jaws fans.

Steven Spielberg’s shark film phenomenon was released by Universal Pictures on June 20th, 1975. It has left its mark on movie-making for the past 50 years. In honor of the historical film, a year-long celebration is taking place. This includes a theatrical re-release, a Digital and Blu-ray Jaws anniversary edition, summer streaming on Peacock, all types of new merchandise, and more! There will even be an exhibit planned by the Academy Museum — Jaws: The Exhibition, which will debut on September 14th.

Tickets are available now, so feel free to swim on over to get them. You’ll be able to travel through the iconic film, scene by scene. You’ll encounter over 200 original objects from the movie — including concept art, costumes, props, and even the menacing shark itself (the Academy’s largest collection object). Of course, there will be brand new EXCLUSIVE merch available in the Academy Museum Store.

Looking to encounter the ocean monster from the comfort of your own home? Peacock will be streaming Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3-D, and Jaws: The Revenge on June 15. For the Jaws fans who want a collectible, a 50th-anniversary special edition will be available on disc and digital with exclusive bonus material. Oh, and how could we forget about the iconic movie score? The classic music score, composed by Disney Legend John Williams, will get remastered on 2xLP.

As mentioned before, Jaws will be getting a ton of new merchandise as a part of the celebration. This will include things like toys, books, collectibles, fashion, and more. Jaws will also be getting new gaming experiences for all you gamers out there.

Now let’s talk theme parks, because there will be special surprises coming to Universal Studios to celebrate the anniversary — starting with brand-new merchandise coming to both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. At Universal Orlando, guests will be able to try specialty food and drinks at Chez Alcatraz, get pictures with the great white, and experience a new parade featuring characters from the film, a themed float, and a live marching band playing the iconic score.

At Universal Studios Hollywood, you’ll be able to get up close to the menace during a visit to Amity Island on the Studio Tour with more activities being announced soon. Lastly, Universal Japan will have a whole area themed to Amity Island. This will include the Jaws attraction, a restaurant, merch, photo ops, and more.
