We spend a lot of time in Disney World restaurants, checking out new menu items, and getting you reviews of food and drinks.

But let’s talk a little bit about Disney World lounges. Sometimes lounges are even better than restaurants, especially when you can usually get into them easily enough without needing a dining reservation. We recently decided to visit Territory Lounge at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to check out the vibes, drinks, and food.
Background
You’ll find Territory Lounge just outside of Storybook Dining at Artist Point. One thing to point out is that it can get loud in the lounge, so we recommend sitting at the bar or at a table towards the back of the lounge to cut down on noise from the hallway.
Atmosphere
Rustic is the word we would use to describe Territory Lounge, which matches the general dark woodsy vibe of Wilderness Lodge. It’s a cozy space with leather chairs.

The wall decor includes wildlife, as well as Western scenes Lewis and Clark might have seen on their expedition.

There’s a large explorers’ map on the ceiling.
Food and Drinks
The menu here is mostly lounge bites (although we’ve already covered some secret menu items you can find here). There are also some specialty cocktails available here.

You can also find a selection of beers and wines available.

For our drink, we ordered The Northwoods, made with Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Citrus Juices, and house-made rosemary syrup for $16. Although we thought the rosemary might be overpowering with this drink, it was actually well-balanced. Instead, the rosemary offered a hint of herby flavor that balances out the citrus.

We also ordered the Territory Popcorn Sampler for $12.75. You get Spicy, Caramel, Sea Salt, Truffle, and barbecue flavored popcorn. First off, this is a terrible deal for what you get. The flavors are fun, but this is only about three handfuls of popcorn for almost $13.
However, the flavors are good. The spicy is actually spicy with lots of cayenne pepper. The barbecue offers a nice savory flavor. The truffle is delicious and full of flavor. The sea salt is also nice, especially in comparison to the other strong flavors. The caramel popcorn had homemade caramel on it, so it’s nice and sweet. We also liked combining the flavors.

The Bacon on a Wire is candied bacon, deviled eggs, and a bourbon drizzle for $25. This is another item we think is a little overpriced for what you get. The deviled eggs have toppings: one with fried shrimp, one with salmon, and one with beef jerky. The deviled eggs are standard, but creamy. The bacon is thick-cut with a nice sweet glaze. We’re not sure what we needed to do with the bourbon glaze — we tried pouring it over the eggs, but it just slid off the bottom of the dish.

Finally, we got the Loaded Macaroni and Cheese, a plant-based option with chorizo-style “sausage”, pepper jack “cheese”, whistle pig 10-year straight rye whiskey, pickled chiles, and spiced gremolata for $18. This usually has fried onions on top, but ours did not due to a mix-up about allergy accommodations. I think this is one of those dishes that will please even non-vegans. The mac and cheese is creamy and although it has a bit of heat, it’s not TOO spicy.

Although the skillet is meant to be shared, you could make a hearty meal out of it for one person. It’s also probably the best value on the menu because you get a good serving size that’s worth the price.
Magic or Tragic?
Although everything we had tasted good, the price points for what you get with most of the dishes we tried makes this tragic for us. It’s certainly not a location you should leave the parks for, unless you’re a vegan and want a really good macaroni and cheese.

If you’re staying at Wilderness Lodge, you might want to pop in here for some drinks, but you’d probably still want to eat at one of the other restaurants here, like Geyser Point Bar and Grill or Whispering Canyon Cafe.
