Have You Noticed These New Signs in Disney World? The Facts Might Surprise You!

Did you know that Disney Springs has been offering some amazing Wellness Month activities all month long?

These include things like free fitness classes inside the shopping and dining district, discounts on meals and snacks at certain restaurants around the area, free facials, and so much more! January isn’t over yet, so you’ve still got a few days to experience these amenities, and for one of them, all you have to do is look at the signs around you!

Right now, all around Disney Springs, you’ll find signs highlighting Wellness Month.

Some of these signs just have the basic logo for Wellness Month, plus the information that AdventHealth sponsors the event. But that’s not what we’re excited about.

What we ARE excited to see, though, are these “Did you know?” signs scattered around Disney Springs. These signs have fun step-count facts on them! They’ll tell you how many steps you’ve walked AND the Disney theme park equivalents. This one said you’ve walked 1,210 steps between Splitsville and Disney’s Wonderful World of Memories shop, which is the same as walking to Magic Kingdom from Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

This one revealed that 570 steps is six times the peak of Expedition Everest Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. That’s also about the distance from the Disney Springs Town Center to the Pin Traders Store (one of our favorites!).

Here’s another fun sign. We learned that the distance from the Orange Garage to the Pin Traders store is 830 steps, which is the equivalent of 10 times the height of Spaceship Earth. Say WHAT?!

This is so fun!

Speaking of Spaceship Earth, 640 steps is about 1/4 the way around the EPCOT World Showcase. If you’ve ever tried to make your way all the way around the World Showcase, you know it takes a LOT of steps!

We could look at these all day!

We’ll leave you with one more. The distance from the Lime Garage to the Orange Garage is about 450 steps, which is also FIVE TIMES the height of the Tower of Terror. OK, that one surprised us!

We honestly love these additions around the district and are bummed they’ll be going away soon, so you should head to check them out while you still can! You might learn something.
