Disney Springs has incredible restaurants and shopping opportunities — we talk about that all the time.

But in January, something different happens, and that’s Wellness Month! This is an entire month dedicated to feeling good, practicing self-care, and focusing on your personal wellness. To celebrate, Disney Springs has tons of complimentary activities you can take part in, and we got to try some of them out!
We started our day getting to hear from Walt Disney World Ambassador Shannon, who explained that this is the fourth year Disney has participated in Wellness Month events, and it gets bigger every year.

Heading over to L’Occitane, we got a preview of the free facial the company is offering for Wellness Month! Yes, it’s completely free — the company just asks that guests reserve their spot 48 hours in advance, and they’ll be treated to a complimentary in-store facial. That might be one of the BEST perks we’ve ever seen in Disney Springs!

Our next stop was the amphitheater by The Boathouse restaurant where we enjoyed amazing live music by a high-energy Latin dance band and joined some instructors leading an aerobic family Zumba class. Shannon, the Disney World Ambassador, was right out there with us, giving it her all, saying that “wellness is her passion, but self-care is her specialty,” and we really resonated with that.

Lunch was at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, which is offering 10% off any meal for Wellness Month! Their sister location, Everglazed (also located in Disney Springs), is also offering 10% off all month long.

After lunch, we returned to the same amphitheater where we participated in a Fitness Class led by Cirque Du Soleil Drawn to Life performers! Some were even in costume and participating in the audience to help participants who couldn’t see the stage. This was SO fun!

Each move was shown at three different levels, with the highest being what they called “Cirque Level,” and it was almost as impressive as what they performed on stage in the show! Again, this experience is totally free, but you do have to bring your own yoga mat.

Overall, we felt SO good throughout the day, and isn’t that the point of Wellness Month? It’s so wonderful to have a whole month of activities dedicated to feeling good. The energy all around was so positive, and it was just an all-around fantastic day!
