My Favorite Disney Hotel Isn’t at Disney World, And You NEED To Know About It

There are tons of great hotels at Disney World, and several that I really enjoy staying at.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

For example, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is probably my favorite hotel to stay at when I am at Disney World. It’s right next to EPCOT (my favorite park), so I can just walk right into World Showcase. It has great rooms, delicious restaurants, a fun pool area with a huge slide and lazy river, and the solarium is a peaceful place to relax. But while I really like the Beach Club and other hotels around Disney World, my all-time favorite Disney hotel won’t be found at Disney World.

Vero Beach is located about 100 miles southeast of Disney World. It’s a quaint beach town with lots to explore, great seafood in the area, and, you might be surprised to find, a Disney resort.

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is located right on the sandy beaches of Vero Beach. It’s a beautiful resort that I have come to love and consider to be my favorite resort. It is a Disney Vacation Club resort, but anyone can stay here by booking rooms at a cash value rather than by using points. (Although, you can also rent DVC points to use here and at other DVC resorts!)

There are several reasons I enjoy this hotel. First, I’m a big fan of the beach. While I love a day at the Disney World parks, put me on a beach with a book in my hands, and I’ll be set. So, the fact that this resort has direct beach access makes it a perfect spot for me. It also has a rental shop on the beach where you can rent beach equipment to sit out and enjoy the sun or to catch some waves in the ocean.

Next, I love that this is a Disney resort. It may not be at the parks, but you still get all the Disney charm. There’s a character breakfast, amazing Cast Members, activities such as campfires and movies, and subtle Disney theming all over the resort. You can also get the popular refillable Disney mugs here to enjoy during your stay! You can refill them at Wind & Waves Market, the quick-service restaurant at the hotel.

Lastly, not only do I enjoy this resort for its beachy vibes and relaxed atmosphere, but I also love all the activities you can do right there at the resort. It has a mini golf course, shuffleboard, bike rentals, sports such as volleyball and bocce ball, arts and crafts, DVD rentals, and, of course, a fun pool area with a large water slide! There’s so much to do here when you’re not out chilling on the beach.

You can have a fun, relaxing, Disney vacation at Vero Beach without ever stepping foot into a Disney World park. You can chill on the beach, enjoy delicious food with Goofy and Pluto, take a bike ride around Vero Beach, and so much more. Not to mention, you might spot a sea turtle here as this is a very special location where sea turtles come to lay eggs every year!

This is just a small sampling of the many reasons I love Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, and if you have a chance, I highly recommend checking it out.
