REVIEW: A Magical Holiday Bar Exists in Disney World – Come Try It With Us!

Happy Holidays, everyone! Disney World is in full swing for the holiday season (Thanksgiving, what’s that? Disney seems to skip right over it.), and we’re busy enjoying all the decorations, as well as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom and Jollywood Nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar

We’re also enjoying a lot of special holiday treats (and will enjoy even more at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays) soon. That includes a secret holiday bar you might not know about in Disney World. So let’s go on a little holiday adventure.

Every holiday season, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs transforms into Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, complete with a festive new look.

Holidays inside the bar

Even the interior of the bar has been given a holiday makeover, with lots of fun holiday decorations hidden in the bar’s many details. In case you were wondering, the bar’s theme is Indiana Jones.

Fun holiday decorations

Be sure to take a moment to just look at all the fun decor before you sit down to order food.

But more importantly, Jock Lindsey’s brings in some fun holiday food and drinks, including a new drink, the Lump of Coal, made with Absolut Vodka, Chambord Liqueur, Bols Blue Curaçao Liqueur, hibiscus syrup, and lime juice with glitter and a black sugar rim for $17.50. It’s a solid festive drink that’s a lot of fun. We also like the black sugar-coated rim and gummies. The flavor is very blackberry, with hints of lime. So you get a nice sweet drink with a hint of sour. However, we’re not sure it’s worth almost $18.

We also ordered the Air Tours Bacon and Waffles with Spiced Candied Bacon, Chorizo Waffles, and Honey Balsamic Syrup for $14. First, the presentation of this is SO nice. This might be our favorite thing we tried here.

The spicy bacon is crispy, and it IS candied, so it has that nice sweet outer coating. For us, this is a win.

The waffles are also great, and they’re made even better with the syrup, which has a small but nice tang. It comes in a syringe, and you can just squirt it on your waffles. The waffles also have chorizo baked into them, which is a stroke of genius.

Finally, we had to try the Holiday Mine Car Meatballs, which are literally served in a mine car. These are Pork and Beef Meatballs, Sweet-and-Sour BBQ, and Chimichurri on Potato Hay for $13.  These are so fun and festive. They’re covered in a glaze that also has bits of cranberry on top of it.

The crunchy potato shreds look more like sweet potato, so they’re a bit more flexible than similar offerings we’ve had in the past. The meatballs are solid, but you may want to share. They look small, but there’s a lot of meat on that plate.

Overall, our favorite thing was the Air Tours Bacon and Waffles, but all of these offerings are unique snacks to help celebrate the holidays in Disney World.

  1. We love Jock Lindsey’s! Besides Indiana Jones theming, there are also Easter Eggs from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars and the late, great Adventurers Club.
