First-of-Its-Kind Perk Revealed for Disney’s NEW Polynesian Village Resort Tower!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting a serious upgrade.

Although fans have had mixed reviews on the concept art for the tower, it will add new Disney Vacation Club rooms to one of the most popular Disney World resorts. Now, Disney just revealed even more details about the upcoming Island Tower — let’s take a look!

We’ve seen art for the exterior. We’ve seen art for the rooms. So what else is coming to the new tower?

Well, now we know a new Moana-themed splash area is coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! It’s called Moana’s Voyage and the space “will feature life-size sculptures of Moana and her iconic canoe” from the movie.

That’s not all — you’ll also be able to swim in the brand-new zero-entry Cove Pool. We have to admit, that sounds nice!

We expected the tower to have a pool and play area. But what we didn’t expect was the announcement about the Terrace Gardens! The Island Tower will have four exclusive gardens “that will feature vibrant artwork, lush foliage, and uniquely themed seating areas to relax and take in picturesque views of Disney’s Oak Trail and Magnolia Golf Courses or Seven Seas Lagoon.” We can’t wait to see what the fireworks view is like here!

Other resorts have incredible rooftop views including Disney’s Riviera Resort or even the Polynesian’s neighbor, Disney’s Contemporary Resort. But a rooftop garden? That’s new for Disney World! It also doesn’t appear to be attached to a restaurant like many of the other rooftops views.

On top of that, Disney announced some details about the new pool bar and grill coming to the tower called Wailulu Bar & Grill. You can learn more about that right here.
