DEBATE TIME: Fans Are Divided on the Newest Hotel Perk Coming to Disney World

Now, we all love getting perks at Disney World, right?

Typhoon Lagoon

Whether it’s a perk that lets us enter the parks early or stay extra late, or even discounts on our favorite merch, there are some great perks we can take advantage of. Speaking of perks, there’s a new Disney World hotel perk that’s coming next year that’s got Disney fans quite divided. Let’s talk about it!

We reached out to our followers on Facebook to ask: “Will you take advantage of the free water park ticket offer if you’re going to Disney World next year?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

What do you think?

Now, let’s go over your top responses!

NO!

First up, you made it clear that you wouldn’t be taking advantage of this free water park ticket offer. (The majority of you responded this way.)

Let’s take a look at what you said:

  •  Nope- flying from Canada rarely has flights come in early enough to do much after landing and getting to the resort
  • No, we will be driving down and there is no way we will be in town before 5pm. Even if we did, our kids are too small for half the rides. Wish we could have a discount instead, or be able to use it on a “Non-check in day”.
  • Probably not. I prefer to get to the resort, settle in and maybe have some dinner at DS. Otherwise it’s a resort evening.
Typhoon Lagoon Lazy River

We don’t think you’re wrong, and you brought up some good points. If you’re traveling some distance to Disney, often you won’t get there early enough to take advantage of it.

YES!

Next, you said you’re excited to be taking advantage of this free water park ticket offer. (The next largest percentage of you responded this way.)

Let’s take a look at what you said:

  • Yes. We fly in super early anyway so it’ll be a nice start to our trips!! I’m in!!
  • Yes! We always arrive by mid-morning and this will be a great activity to do for a couple of hours
  • Yes even though it will be in December, I’m sure my kids won’t mind. Luckily we drive in from NY and usually get in around noon
  • Sure! My flight always lands by 830 am. And I never find it worth it to buy the water park option.
Typhoon Lagoon

We totally get it. Florida is really hot and this perk is a great way to spend time and cool off on your first day at Disney World.

MAYBE??

Last up, some of you don’t really have incredibly strong feelings about it one way or the other at the moment. (The last group of you responded this way.)

Here’s what you said:

  •  Maybe. Truthfully though, every time we go to a waterpark, we get sick – whether it’s Disney, Dorney, or Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I’d be much more apt to go if they did it on the last day of your stay. I’d hate to get sick and be miserable my whole expensive vacation there.
Toboggan Racers

Listen, we hear you on not being sold on it one way or the other especially if you’ve had bad reactions to waterparks. Probably best to sit this one out.

Those were just some of your thoughts on whether or not you will take advantage of the free water park ticket offer if you’re going to Disney World next year, and we want to hear more from you! In the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!

  1. I had a traumatic experience when I was a kid. It was while I was in line at a waterside- my first waterside.

I did not ride that day, and I have never ridden a waterside.

I want to try one now, as I approach 60. Conquering my fear.

I won’t spend the money on the water park ticket so this is a perfect perk for me.

If I chicken out, I can still enjoy the other attractions and not feel like I wasted money on the ticket.

  2. You’re at the mercy of the Florida weather.. afternoon thunderstorms in the summer…cooler temps with early water park closures comes the fall..too cold in the winter…not worth putting a bathing suit on..not a perk for me.

  3. Never having learned to swim, and being a pale person who burns in 10 minutes in the sun, I’m not a water park person. So, for me it would be no.
