Whoo hoo! You’re heading to Disneyland in 2024, and we couldn’t be more excited for you.

You’re likely already putting together your list of must-do attractions and deciding where you’re going to stay, but if you’re stumped on restaurants, or want to make sure you dine at the best spots, we’ve got the ultimate list for you right here!
We’ve eaten at every restaurant in Disneyland, and we’re always keeping an eye out for menu changes and reviewing new food for you! Here’s our list of the restaurants we recommend this most this year!
8. Red Rose Taverne
Red Rose Taverne is a quick service location in Fantasyland. It serves up traditional theme park eats, so it’s a good spot for picky eaters.

This wouldn’t have even been close to making our list a year ago, but last year, Disney improved its menu so much that we were incredibly impressed. Previously it was bland and basic theme park food, and now they actually have edible eats, so we recommend giving them another try if you haven’t been in a while!
7. Rancho del Zocalo
Rancho del Zocalo is a Mexican quick service restaurant located in Frontierland, and we think it’s one of the most underrated restaurants in the park.

They have lots of different options, plus a kids menu, and while all meals come with sides of rice and beans, sauteed vegetables may be substituted for the sides. All the kids meals come with rice, applesauce, vegetables, and a choice of low-fat milk or small bottled water, which is a pretty great deal to us.
6. Carnation Cafe
Carnation Cafe is located on Main Street U.S.A., and it specializes in American cuisine, specifically some of Walt Disney’s favorites.

This is a table service restaurant that does require reservations, but we really enjoy its nostalgic American eats. If you’re looking for some comforting food, don’t want to branch out too much, but still want to have a good meal, this is a great choice.
5. Bengal Barbecue
Over in Adventureland you’ll find Bengal Barbecue, which definitely has some more adventurous options.

This is a quick service that has delicious twists on so many different foods. It’s definitely for more adventurous eaters, but if you don’t mind trying something new, we don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
4. Cafe Orleans
And over in New Orleans Square, you’ll find Cafe Orleans, which is a table service restaurant serving up Cajun & Creole specialties that we’re sure you’ll love.

What we love most about this restaurant is that you can get the same quality of food seen over at Blue Bayou (which is coming up soon) without the extra table-service price tag.
3. Plaza Inn
Why is Plaza Inn on Main Street U.S.A. so high on this list? The food quality isn’t bad by any means, but it’s not anything to write home about. It’s all about the characters here.

At this buffet/all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurant, you’ll have a fantastic character meet and greet experience with multiple friends. You can expect to see Minnie, Chip, Dale, Pooh, Eeyore, Captain Hook, and more! Characters do change depending on the day, but you’re bound to get a great crew.
2. Oga’s Cantina
There’s a very specific reason Oga’s Cantina (over in Galaxy’s Edge) is on this list, and it’s not because of the food.

It’s because of the incredible galactic drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and the amazing atmosphere! There’s truly nowhere else like this in Disneyland, and if you’re a Star Wars fan, it’s an absolute must do.
1. Blue Bayou
And at the very top of our list is Blue Bayou, a table service restaurant known for their incredible Cajun-inspired dishes.

Now, this table service restaurant is expensive, but the food is completely worth it. Additionally, the atmosphere of this restaurant is top tier. You get to look out onto the beginning of the waterway that the Pirates of the Caribbean ride uses! If you’re looking for a restaurant that guarantees a great meal and a wonderful atmosphere, this is the place.
