Country Bear Jamboree Announces CLOSING Date in Magic Kingdom

Buckle up! 2024 is bringing some big changes to Disney World!

Country Bear Jamboree

We just saw the return of the Disney Dining Plan, park hopping is normal again, and park passes are gone for many visitors. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open sometime this year. New restaurants including The Cake Bake Shop are coming soon. But now, we have news about a temporary closure that you need to know about.

At Destination D23 in September 2023, Disney revealed that they would be making some changes to the Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom. To make those updates, Disney World has announced that Country Bear Jamboree will temporarily close on January 27th, 2024.

Hi there!

There is no exact reopening date yet, but the show is expected to open later this summer.

What changes can you expect when the attraction reopens? The bears will have an all-new sound and look with each one getting a new outfit. Here’s a first look at Henry’s new look.

The music is meant to represent the sound of Nashville and the show is inspired by the Opry style shows of Nashville. Here’s a look at the poster for the revamped show.

It looks like there will be some Disney songs with a twist including “The Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book. The show will include new, reinterpreted Disney songs in different genres of country music including bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly, and more.

If you want to get your show fix in Magic Kingdom, you can still check out the Enchanted Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, and the Hall of Presidents. These are also air-conditioned theaters where you can rest your feet for a little bit!
