When folks come to Florida, they might think that it stays pretty warm year-round. Believe it or not, though, that’s not always the case.
It’s not always sunshine, beaches, and pool time in the Sunshine State. In months like December, it can get downright chilly. Sure, you might not see snow (although you could see SNOAP), but it gets cold enough that Disney shuts down its water parks. That’s the case with Disney’s Blizzard Beach for two days.
On December 6th and December 7th, you might notice that there are no hours posted on the Disney World website for Disney’s Blizzard Beach. The water park will be closed on both days due to the colder weather.
Blizzard Beach will reopen on December 8th, with its hours currently listed from 10AM to 5PM. So, the weather should warm up enough for the water park to open if you had Blizzard Beach in your Disney World plans this week.
Disney World actually has two water parks, but over the past several years, only one has been open at any given time. The other water park, Typhoon Lagoon, is closed, presumably for the season.
