We’ve encountered our fair share of airport mishaps.

We’ve had delayed flights, backups at security, luggage problems, and so much more over the years. Because of these misfortunes, we’ve learned to prepare ourselves for a variety of situations when traveling. But if you’re traveling soon, you may encounter a big issue at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) that you weren’t expecting!
Click Orlando reports that dozens of Spirit Airlines flights have been canceled in and out of the Orlando International Airport because the airline needs to perform aircraft inspections. As of 7:30AM on Friday, October 20th, more than 45 flights had been canceled at MCO.

In a statement, Spirit Airlines said the following:
“While this action is being taken out of an abundance of caution, the impact to our network is expected to last several days as we complete the inspections and work to return to normal operations. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to take care of affected Guests. Our Guests are advised to monitor their email and check their flight status on spirit.com or the Spirit Airlines App before heading to the airport.”

UPDATE: On October 20th, Spirit Airlines canceled about 100 flights in total due to plane inspections, according to Tampa Bay News. The next day, flight cancelations continued to impact travelers at Orlando Airport. Read more HERE.
