We Might’ve Found Our NEW Favorite Breakfast in All of Disney World

Put on your stretchy pants — it’s time to EAT!

Animal Kingdom

Disney World is constantly releasing new food in the parks and hotels and recently, we got word that Disney’s Animal Kingdom was adding some new eats (and bringing back an old favorite!). So of course we went to the park to check them out!

Flame Tree Barbecue

The most exciting menu item that debuted on October 11th is the return of the Pulled Pork Cheese Fries! These have been missing from the menu for quite a bit, but we’re SO excited to see them back.

Guess who’s back?

The pork is perfectly smoked and tender and we love the taste of the barbecue sauce and cheese together.

These are heavy on cheese and pork which makes this snack worth the $8.49. You can share them (or not, we wouldn’t blame you) and it’s pretty filling as a meal for one.

We’re so excited!

We also tried the new IMPOSSIBLE Burnt Ends which is served with French Fries and a Vinegar-based Crunchy Slaw.

IMPOSSIBLE Burnt Ends

This was a bit tougher than other IMPOSSIBLE options in Disney World. The “meat” is chewy which makes it a little harder to enjoy. We do appreciate that the meal comes with two sides for the $12.29 it costs! As far as plant-based options go, there are better options in Disney World, but it’s nice to have a barbecue choice.

Drinkwallah/Pongu Pongu/Trek Snacks

Looking for something a bit more unique? Check out the new Stuffed Pancake Sandwich made with Sausage, Guava Paste, Egg, and Cheese. You can grab it at three locations in Animal Kingdom, but we picked up ours at Drinkwallah

Introducing the Stuffed Pancake Sandwich

The “pancake” is very thick and fluffy. This thing is big enough to share as a quick breakfast while you’re running to your next attraction. It’s very filling that’s why we think the $8.99 price tag is justified. It tastes similar to a sausage and egg biscuit.

About the guava…we actually loved it! It adds a sweetness to an otherwise savory snack, but it’s not too much to where it overpowers it. The sausage and eggs are standard — nothing different or noteworthy about those aspects. If you’re looking to change up your breakfast game, this might be worth a shot!

A look inside

Is guava not your thing? Don’t worry — you can order it without the guava paste.

Kusafari

Over at Kusafari, you can grab the new Breakfast Totchos! These are made with Potato Barrels (also known as Tater Tots), Scrambled Eggs, Nacho Cheese Sauce, Cheese Curds, and Crumbled Bacon.

Totchos!

Now you may be thinking — Totchos? Aren’t those a Toy Story Land thing? These are a super popular snack at Hollywood Studios so we’re glad they’ve expanded over to Animal Kingdom for breakfast!

Let’s dig in!

This was a good portion for $10.99. It’s heavy on the cheese sauce which we liked, however, we were not a fan of the cheese curds. These could easily be picked off of the top, though. The bacon bits added a crunch to each bite and there were a LOT of them (the more bacon, the better!).

Loaded with toppings

We also would’ve preferred less scrambled eggs and more tater tots. Overall, it’s a filling breakfast option and the flavors work well together — we could see it being a crowd-pleaser.

Breakfast Totchos

The biggest between these and Woody’s Lunch Box Breakfast Totchos is that those have brisket and sausage instead of cheese curds and bacon.

Tamu Tamu Refreshments

It’s not often that we see a new DOLE Whip in Disney World, so when we do, you know we have to try it. At Tamu Tamu, you can now grab the DOLE Whip Hard Cider Float featuring DOLE Whip and ACE Pineapple Craft Cider!

New DOLE Whip alert!

We need to warn you about this one! The cider created some bubbles underneath the DOLE Whip which created a vacuum that sucked it down into the cup. This caused the cider to overflow and although it was entertaining, it made a mess!

It’s messy, but delicious

As far as taste goes, we thought the cider was super refreshing. You can definitely taste the pineapple between the classic DOLE Whip and the cider. If you like to enjoy a boozy beverage in Disney World, this is a fun new take on DOLE Whip! It’ll cost you $14.

Harambe Market

Harambe Market added some new eats, so we had to head over there, too. We tried the Beef and Lamb Kofta Pita for $13.49, which is house-made beef and lamb kofta with tzatziki sauce, chermoula, and house-made chips. Overall, we thought it was tasty, although we might’ve liked a bit more spice. The beef was tender, although the pita wasn’t toasted evenly in places. We did like the crunch from the veggies, but thought the tzatziki tasted like plain sour cream.

Beef and Lamb Kofta Pita

We also thought the price was a bit high, but you do get a lot of meat and a lot of chips. If chips aren’t your thing, though, you can request to leave them off (although you’ll still pay the same price) or request rice instead.

Pretty tasty

For dessert, you can also now get the Mango-Passion Fruit Cheesecake for $5.99, which is a mango passionfruit cheesecake with mango jelly on a coconut crust with whipped icing. The cheesecake is a little runnier than what we’re used to, but the flavor is SOLID, especially with the tartness you get from the fruit.

Mango-Passion Fruit Cheesecake

The texture is smooth and creamy and the crust gave us graham cracker vibes, although we could taste the coconut (which worked great with the cheesecake). This is one dessert we’ll probably order again.

Smooth and creamy

That’s all that we reviewed, but you can see the rest of the new food in Animal Kingdom here.
