Thanks to Disney and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Florida drivers can now give their vehicles an up-to-date makeover that benefits kids in need.

Disney has recently released a new license plate that will continue to benefit Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida. Expanding on the license plates Disney released to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, these new plates will continue to add Disney flair to cars while donating to help grant wishes for critically ill children within the program.
These win-win license plates have already raised over $2 million and will continue to help Floridan families. Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida President and CEO Anne Cuba recently praised Disney’s 40-plus year partnership with Make-A-Wish and said, “This new license plate is the latest way we are making big impacts for wish families in Florida, and I can’t wait to see it hit the roads soon as even more Florida drivers join us in making wishes come true.”
If you’re a Florida driver looking to grab one of these license plates for a good cause, here’s how you can do it:

Registered car owners in the state of Florida
- Visit www.flhsmv.gov to find the location of your nearest County Tax Collector’s Office in-person office or Florida license plate agency (DMV)
- Make an appointment for tag renewal or registration and purchase a Walt Disney World Florida specialty license plate during your appointment
New Florida residents registering a car for the first time
- Visit www.flhsmv.gov and find the Motor Vehicles, Tags & Titles drop-down menu
- Select License Plates & Registration
- Navigate to the Motor Vehicle Registrations page for information regarding license plate and registration application
To personalize your Walt Disney World Florida specialty license plate
- Use Personalized License Plate Inquiry to check the availability of your desired license plate configuration
- Complete Application for Personalized License Plate
- Print out the completed application and visit a motor vehicle service center in Florida to order your personalized specialty license plate
*You will receive the Walt Disney World license plate in the mail.

You can also gift the specialized license plate through the local State of Florida DMV or County Tax Collector’s Offices! They are available by visiting the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles website and purchasing a gift certificate for a driver registered in Florida.
Once purchased, you’ll receive a receipt, and the person you’re giving the gift certificate to will receive a credit they can redeem when purchasing their specialty license plate.

With the success Disney and Make-A-Wish have already had with the license plate fundraiser, we’re excited to see how the new release continues to elevate this great cause!
