Disney Fans Can’t Stop Buying These $400 Souvenirs

If you know what a Wampa is, or smile every time you hear the distinctive humming sound of lightsabers in battle, this post is for you.

Legacy Lightsabers are a HOT ticket item

It’s also likely that you have one of the hottest-selling Star Wars souvenirs. No, we’re not talking about Funko Pops, action figures, or LEGO sets. No, we’re talking about Legacy Lightsabers, which can cost up to $400 and more.

So why are these souvenirs so popular? Well, these are lightsabers that are perfect replicas of lightsabers seen in Star Wars movies and TV shows. So, for example, if you want to wield the same blade Luke Skywalker does, you can buy an exact replica of the hilt (plus the blade, which is sold separately).

But more importantly, you can find Legacy Lightsaber for rarer characters, too. You’d have to be a hardcore Star Wars fan to know who Plo Koon is, but fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars have been buying up the Plo Koon Legacy Lightsaber.

Likewise, fans of the Fallen Jedi video game franchise are buying up the Cal Kestis Legacy Lightsabers. Plus you can even get a Darksaber as seen in The Mandalorian.

Although Legacy Hilts can start at around $150, depending on the character, as well as if the Legacy Hilt is part of a set (which usually includes a case and blade), they can get pricier — we’ve seen some as high as $400. However, Star Wars fans seem willing to pay big dollars for an exact replica of the lightsabers carried by their favorite characters (and these lightsabers are well made).

Where are these lightsabers being bought? Well, you can find them in Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in both Disney World and Disneyland. They’re also available at Star Wars Trading Post in Disney Springs and Downtown Disney. Occasionally, various lightsabers will turn up online at shopDisney, but the parks generally have the rare and hard-to-get Legacy lightsabers.

The more rarer characters generally sell the fastest, so if a Lightsaber comes out and you want it, your best bet to get it is to grab it as soon as you can. There are occasionally restocks, but there are no guarantees that the lightsaber you want will be available again.
