WARNING: Parking Is Complicated at One Disney World Hotel Right Now

Disney World is currently in the process of completing lots of different construction projects.

EPCOT has been a construction zone for years now, and many Disney hotels are also getting some TLC at the moment. However, some of this has made getting in and around these hotels pretty difficult. Speaking of recent challenges, if you’ve got a dining reservation at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort soon, here’s something you need to know about the parking situation.

There seems to be a recent parking change over at the Grand Floridian Resort. During our visit to the Grand Floridian Cafe, we asked a Cast Member where guests with dining reservations can park. The Cast Member informed us that, at the time of our visit, guests with a dining reservation must park across the street (this is typically the Cast Member parking lot).

There is a walkway from the parking lot to the hotel, but you do have to cross the road. We were told that this lot may be used by guests with dining reservations from time to time.

Note that most of the time, the three Deluxe Disney World resorts near Magic Kingdom have pretty strict parking rules to prevent guests from using those parking lots for easier access to Magic Kingdom. With this change, it’s certainly not easy to get from your car to the hotel — this new rule adds quite a few extra steps to your journey.

If you have plans to dine at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, keep in mind that you may have to do a little extra walking to get to the restaurant, so make sure to tack on some extra time to your travel plans.
