BREAKING: New Details Revealed For Disney’s ‘Zootopia’-Themed Land Opening SOON

It’s been over four years since we first learned about the new Zootopia-themed land coming to Shanghai Disneyland, and we have been listening for more details ever since.

In this new land, guests will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Zootopia with new attractions, entertainment, merchandise, and food and beverage options. Until now, we didn’t have many details about what to expect further than that, but today — Disney shared a first look!

New Attraction

One of the most exciting additions is the new ride — Zootopia: Hot Pursuit.

On this new attraction, guests will enter the ZPD for orientation and be greeted by Officer Clawhauser. Afterward, you’ll be whisked away to help with an emergency to save Gazelle, who has been kidnapped!

Throughout the ride, you’ll assist Officer Judy Hopps and her partner, Nick Wild — now officially a police officer — in an action-packed police chase.

In doing so, you’ll travel through many of the locales from the movie, from the icy Tundra Town and the streets of Sahara Square to the Rainforest District and Mystic Springs Oasis.

Scott Gusin shared some footage of this new ride on X early today. Take a look at some of the details from the queue!

It looks like it will be quite the ride!

New Character Experiences

Once this new land opens, guests will be able to meet some of their favorite characters from the film! The Hopps family will be there, interacting “amongst themselves (and sometimes even with you!)” — from the windows of Zootopia’s buildings.

But, you also might see Fru Fru and her father — Mr. Big, Koslov the polar bear, Flash the sloth, Yax the yak, and Duke Weaselton the weasel.

New Treats & Shopping

Guests will also be able to enjoy treats inspired by the movie! At Jumbeaux’s Cafe, an ice cream shop you may recognize from Zootopia, guests can try a sweet and tart paw-shaped popsicle…

…and many more snacks themed to the film.

Just look at this iconic popsicle!

After snacking on some of these new eats, guests can head over to Fashions by Fru Fru by the entrance of Mane Street. Here, you’ll find some products from the Zootopia Cute collection, various hardware, apparel, accessories, and more.

Inside the store, you’ll also find two special areas themed after Yax and Duke Weaselton.
