Christmas in July is totally a thing, y’all.

Even though we’re still sweating and groaning about the heat and humidity half the time while visiting Disney World, it’s already time to start planning those winter vacations. We know that many of you love to go to the parks throughout the winter holiday season, so we asked our readers about the holiday parties that will take place this year.
While Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom will take place as it does every year, an all new holiday party — Jollywood Nights — will debut this holiday season in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. So, we asked our readers which holiday party they’d rather attend this year, and the answer shocked us!

The most common answer by far ended up being Jollywood Nights. This holiday party will feature exclusive snacks, character meet and greets, entertainment, merchandise, and of course — those low wait times that come along with the specially-ticketed events. This answer surprised us, not because we aren’t also excited about Jollywood Nights, but because Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a fan-favorite holiday party and annual tradition for many Disney World visitors.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has drawn guests to Disney World during the holiday season for years with its exclusive merch, holiday treats and beverages, and nighttime spectaculars around Cinderella Castle. So, why are our readers more excited about Jollywood Nights?

Well, because it’s new! Disney fans have been attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for years — after all, it’s been the only one available for quite some time. Now, the all-new Jollywood Nights party is offering brand new experiences.

Our readers are most excited to see a Christmas-y Tower of Terror, the live show hosted by Kermit and Piggy, and to simply experience a change of pace when it comes to holiday celebrations.

Many of our readers told us that they were going to both holiday parties since they couldn’t choose between an old beloved celebration and an all-new experience. What do you think? Would you attend one or the other, or both? If you’re interested in attending, tickets for both parties are available now!
