PHOTOS: More CHANGES Have Come To EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion

We’re actually starting to see the progress to Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, and now you can too on your next visit.

Japan Pavilion

Just days ago, we spotted the first sign for Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya at EPCOT in the Japan pavilion of the World Showcase and we’ve been keeping a keen eye open for more updates. Now, we’ve got a few more updates to share with you on its progress.

On a recent trip to EPCOT, we decided to stop into the Japan pavilion and check on the progress of Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya. This is the restaurant that is replacing Tokyo Dining next to Teppan Edo. Since we had recently spotted changes to a small sign inside and on the outside of the building, we decided to head inside and take a peek at anything else that might have changed there, too!

We went to check around the corner for more changes and we noticed something different.

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya entrance

Although it is still roped off and lined with a few small trees, it appears the main entrance of the restaurant is viewable for anyone willing to make the trek inside. The front foyer section has a tiled floor and several wooden elements to the main entrance opening. Above the entrance to where the restaurant will be, there is another small wooden sign with the same Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya lettering style as the outside sign.

We think they’re making some quick progress on the restaurant’s opening and hopefully, we’ll continue to see more progress unfold over the coming weeks. We’ll keep watch for future updates to this restaurant as we learn of them — so stay tuned with us at AllEars.
