I Can’t Believe It’s Not Table Service: 7 Disney World Meals You Won’t Believe Are Fast Food!

Sure, we enjoy those elegant, classy dining experiences in Disney World, but sometimes we don’t have the time (or the budget) for a fancy table service meal. Can we still enjoy a quality meal without dressing up? Can we appreciate our meal without cloth napkins?

Toledo at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

The answer is YES! There are LOTS of quick-service locations in the parks and resorts that are just as delicious as some table-service restaurants (sometimes, the food is better than some sit-down spots). Wondering where to eat? Let’s take a look at seven meals you won’t BELIEVE are actually “fast food” in Disney World.

1. Build Your Own Protein Bowls at Satu’li Canteen

Ever since this quick-service restaurant opened in Animal Kingdom, we have continually returned to Satu’li Canteen over and over again for its build-your-own bowls. They’re amazing — and we really mean it! When ordering, guests select a base (salad mix, potato hash, beans, or rice), add a protein (chicken, beef, tofu, or shrimp and noodle), then mix in a sauce.

Satu’li Canteen Combination Bowl

No matter what combination of proteins and sauce you choose, this is a healthy, flavorful option that will fill you up! Disney could serve this in a restaurant with zero changes. It’s that good.

2. Famous Fish ‘N’ Chips at Cookes of Dublin

Sure, you could visit Rose & Crown in EPCOT or go to Raglan Road in Disney Springs and order some fish & chips. But that would be a waste, my friends!

Fish ‘n’ Chips

You can get some high-quality fish ‘n’ chips right next door to Raglan Road at Cookes of Dublin without the extra time (and money) spent at a table-service location.

3. Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow

We don’t give Disney World’s quick service enough credit for its HUGE portion sizes. Look at the size of that waffle! The Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich is a fan-favorite of the Magic Kingdom — and for good reason!

This is a HUGE portion.

This sandwich comes with a sizable piece of fried chicken, a fresh broccoli slaw, and a honey-sriracha glaze, plus it’s served with house-made chips. Again, this is “fast food,” yet it could be served at Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen, and no one would bat an eye!

4. Taco Trio at La Cantina de San Angel

If you’re craving a little Mexican food, head to La Cantina de San Angel in EPCOT. From its scenic outdoor seating location to the large menu full of entrees, this place is PERFECT for people looking for a quality quick-service meal.

La Cantina Taco Trio

The Taco Trio comes with barbacoa, pollo, and camarón tacos served on homemade corn tortillas. It also comes with rice and black beans, and queso fresco. All that for under $15? Say less!

5. Classic Bacon Cheeseburger at D-Luxe Burger

We’ve got a hot take: D-Luxe has better burgers than some table-service burgers. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are right, and the buns are perfectly puffy. What more can you want from a burger?

D-Luxe has SO many great options!

The Classic Bacon Cheeseburger is made with signature-blend patties and topped with cheddar, 1921 sauce, lettuce, tomato, and pickle, though we can confidently recommend almost any classic burger from this spot in Disney Springs!

6. Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich at Regal Eagle Smokehouse

Regal Eagle Smokehouse is another one of those restaurants with a menu FULL of great options — you can’t go wrong here! The barbecue made here has a good, classic flavor, and the meats are nice and tender.

If we told you this was fast food, would you believe us?

Forget those pricey sit-down meals! For a fraction of the price, you can enjoy a savory, filling meal in EPCOT that doesn’t feel like your average fast food order.

7. Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork at Flame Tree BBQ

We have dreams about this mac & cheese; in fact, we’ve even tried to recreate it at home. Of course, it’s never as good as the real thing at Flame Tree BBQ, but that just gives us an excuse to keep going back, right?

Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork

It’s warm…it’s savory…it’s cheesy, it’s all of our favorite things cooked up into one incredible quick-service entree. Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some of the BEST quick-service food in Disney World.

There you have it! We’ve got tons of proof that quick-service meals can be just as good as table-service meals. If you’re working on a budget, don’t think you’re limited to subpar food at Disney World — great options exist! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!

  1. This article would be much more thorough if you included WHERE (what park) to find these restaurants as they are offered all over the WDW bubble. Thanks!

    1. Hi Lacey! Thank you so much for that suggestion. I went in and added which park each restaurant was in if you wanted to take a look. 🙂
