The Skyliner Is Closing for Refurbishment SOON in Disney World

There are PLENTY of ways to get around Disney World.

Disney Skyliner

Buses are the most abundant option, but the monorail is a Disney classic. Boating to your destination is like a ride in and of itself. But, the newest way to get around the Most Magical Place on Earth is the Skyliner! These gondolas can take you to multiple spots throughout Disney World, but starting tomorrow — that won’t be an option.

You’ll find Disney Skyliner stations at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort, a line to Disney’s Riviera Resort and EPCOT, and a line to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is a fun form a transportation for the many guests that stay at these hotels!

But, a word of caution if you’re checking into any of these hotels or are planning to use the Skyliner on your Disney trip this week — the Skyliner is closing for refurbishment tomorrow, January 22nd, and will remain closed until January 29th per the Walt Disney World website.

If you’re staying at any of these hotels this week or had plans of using the Skyliner for transportation, you’ll need to find other means to get to your destination! Luckily, Disney offers multiple free transportation options depending on where you’re coming from and where you’re headed.

Buses, boats, and the monorail could be alternative options. Additionally, depending on where you’re staying you might even be able to walk to your destination. You can also consider using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft in Disney World, and we’ve got plenty of tips on that here.

You’re just a quick ride away from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT!
