PHOTOS: We Honestly Can’t Believe the Halloween Crowds in Disney World

Well, Halloween has officially arrived, and although we’ve seen the holidays begin creeping into Disney World, guests are still celebrating the spookiest day of the year.

But just how many guests are celebrating Halloween in Disney World right now? Let’s take a look at the crowds!

Crowds

Magic Kingdom

Considering Magic Kingdom park passes had sold out not long ago, we expected to see BIG crowds today. Note that there ARE Magic Kingdom park passes available now, but Magic Kingdom closes tonight at 6PM for the last night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

But overall, things seem pretty calm this Halloween! At the Transportation and Ticket Center, there were next to no crowds getting onto the Monorail or the ferry boat.

And at the main entrance of Magic Kingdom, there were no lines to get inside!

Once we hit Main Street, U.S.A. we saw more people milling around, but it still wasn’t nearly as crowded as we expected.

Parts of Tomorrowland were practically empty, probably due to the closure of Space Mountain.

Although it was quite crowded over by the PeopleMover!

And Fantasyland, an area that is typically pretty packed, wasn’t not even as crowded as usual.

As the day went on, crowds stayed really small, aside from one specific area.

Where are the crowds??

Haunted Mansion was PACKED! The line for the ride extended really far outside of the entrance, past Columbia Harbour House.

Now let’s head over to EPCOT.

EPCOT

Over in EPCOT, it was also really calm! The Japan Pavilion was pretty empty.

The France Pavilion was a bit more crowded, but even there it was far fewer people than usual.

The entrance area was also pretty empty toward the end of the day.

What are the wait times looking like?

Wait Times

Now that you’ve seen what the crowds looked like, let’s take a look at the wait times, which we checked around mid-day. Haunted Mansion was high at 70 minutes (it is Halloween, after all!) and Peter Pan’s Flight was all the way up to 90 minutes.

And in EPCOT, wait times weren’t too high, although The Seas with Nemo & Friends was up to 15 minutes, which is higher than usual. Note that Disney World wait times can and do fluctuate throughout the day so remember to keep checking back as we update more!

Wait times remained fairly low as the day went on, with rides like Spaceship Earth sitting around 5 minutes.

Haunted Mansion, however, maintained one of the longest wait times. It’s perfect for Halloween, so we get it!

So overall, Halloween crowds seem to be lower than expected. We’ll continue to cover the crowds and attraction wait times in Disney World, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for more!

It’s Halloween in Disney World!

If you’re wanting to avoid crowds in Disney World, we’ve put together some tips. However, if you’re traveling to Disney World this holiday season, you might just want to expect things to be busy. Big holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas Day are already sold out of park pass reservations in Magic Kingdom!

The holidays will be here before you know it.

We will recommend that you make your park pass reservations ASAP, though, before other parks run out. Also, don’t forget to make those advance dining reservations as soon as you can.
