UPDATE on Brightline Train Coming to Orlando International Airport

Remember that time Disney World was supposed to get a Brightline Train Station?

In 2020, Brightline announced that a high-speed train would get a station in Disney Springs which would connect the resort to other destinations including Orlando International Airport. With the free Magical Express being replaced by paid bus options, this was going to be a quick and easy way to travel to and from the airport and Disney World. Plans for the Disney Springs station were canceled earlier this year, but now we’ve got an update on the station at Orlando International Airport.

Brightline took to Twitter to announce the progress they have made on the airport’s station — looks like they are 83% complete with construction.

Brightline also shared that the station is set to open sometime in 2023, so we still don’t have a specific opening date just yet. However, we do know that you’ll be able to find the station in the brand new Terminal C opening on September 19th!

Terminal C will feature a few fan-favorite restaurants from Disney Springs including Wine Bar George, a restaurant by Chef Art Smith (who runs Homecomin’), and more.

We recently learned about the airlines that would be flying out of Terminal C and all of the rental car options you will have. Also, we got a sneak peek at how EASY security checkpoints will be with new technology.

Even though Brightline does not have a specific Disney Springs stop, the train will still stop near Disney World.

Stay tuned for more news from Orlando International Airport and the new Terminal C!

  1. I can’t wait for it to be done at Orlando international airport Miami this what I been waiting for a long time since I learned so much at high speed rail from Japan and the rest of the world. Right now I leave in the Tampa area so I will have to wait a lot longer to get a station here and when we do get one here it will be nice to get on a train and go to a theme park in Orlando instead of driving in I-4 traffic.

  2. I live in Vero Beach, would love to be able to ride to MCO but the stations are too far north or south it’s not convenient for me
