The Walt Disney Company has had a seriously incredible year when it comes to awards season!
After bringing home SIX Academy Awards just last week, it was time for another awards ceremony — the Grammys! Disney nabbed seven nominations overall across multiple categories, but did they emerge victorious in any categories? Let’s find out!
First up, Soul took home the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. The music for Soul was written by Jon Batiste, Trent Reznor (yes, THAT Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame), and Atticus Ross (also from NIN).
The United States vs. Billie Holiday took home the award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. The soundtrack was comprised of Billie Holiday songs sung by Andra Day, who played the title character.
And finally, Disney alum Olivia Rodrigo took home Grammys for Best Pop Solo Performance, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Vocal Album! Rodrigo’s Disney+ film, Driving Home 2 U, features many of her hit songs and is available to stream now!
