We’ve awaited the day for more than two years, and it’s finally here — ALL the Disney World Resort hotels are officially reopened!
That’s right, today Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort reopens, and it’s the last on the list. We’re stopping by to check out what’s different, and sharing all the updates!
Lobby and Check-in Area
Starting out in the main lobby of the resort, things look pretty much the same as how we left them back in March 2020, but they’re celebrating the reopening with some special decorations, like this “Welcome Back, Sports Fans” sign featuring Donald, Mickey, and Goofy ready to play some football.
The lobby was decorated with lots of colorful balloon arrangements, which even included gold star balloons.
There are also special recreation activities scheduled on opening day! Activities include complimentary crafts in the lobby, poolside games, Mickey Tie-Dye, a Touchdown! Campfire, an Arcade Tournament, and a Movie Under the Stars.
Pools and Outdoor Areas
For guests hoping to lounge around, the resort pools were open again! There’s the larger pool, Surfboard Bay, but if you want something quieter, you can head over to the Grand Slam Pool.
You can also grab a poolside drink from the Grandstand Spirits!
Transportation
And finally, we have to mention transportation! There were buses running here again, transporting guests to the theme parks and Disney Springs.
