If you’re a big Spider-Man or Marvel hero fan, Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland Resort is probably a spot on your must-see list.

There, you can see all kinds of super heroes walking around, check out some Marvel merchandise, and even stop by the new Spider-Man ride, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. Previously, to ride WEB SLINGERS you had to join a virtual queue, but now things have changed.
Now, we’ve seen that change in action. Today, WEB SLINGERS appears to be operating without a virtual queue.

When we checked the Disneyland app, we saw that the app was showing a standby wait time.

When we went to the virtual queue section, we could clearly see the traditional virtual queue language in place for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland…

…but the language is different for the virtual queue portion for WEB SLINGERS. The app now indicates that Disney plans to open the virtual queue for WEB SLINGERS “as needed” each day. When the virtual queue is open, guests can request to join through the Disneyland app.
The app also indicates that the standby line for WEB SLINGERS may be available when the park opens and after boarding groups have been called for the day. The key here is to check the Disneyland app to see whether a traditional standby queue or virtual queue is in place during your visit.

The language on the WEB SLINGERS portion in the app also notes that guests “may” be required to join the virtual queue, and that guests are encouraged to check the Disneyland app throughout their trip for the latest updates.

This reminds us quite a bit of the situation that recently took place in Disney World for the Rise of the Resistance virtual queue. The virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance in Disney World (not Disneyland) is currently paused, but Disney has noted that it may come back from time to time or at some point in the future.
It seems WEB SLINGERS is similar in the sense that the virtual queue might not be in place right now, but it may be used “as needed” each day.

If you’re planning to hop on this new ride during your next visit to Disney California Adventure Park, be sure to check your phone to see if a virtual queue is in place or if the standby line is being utilized. Check back with us for more Disney updates.
