While Disneyland Resort remained closed for over a year, many of its annual events were canceled in 2020.
Gay Days is one of the most highly-anticipated unofficial events that happens at Disneyland every year, and it has celebrated LGBT pride at the parks since 1998. This year’s event started today and will run through Sunday. It will include special snacks and merchandise, trivia, scavenger hunts, and more.
We popped into the Gay Days Welcome Center at the Trillium Room at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and checked out some displays set out to welcome guests. The display shows off some merchandise, as well as a snack, that guests will get to enjoy this weekend.
The display also features some of the events that will be available for the weekend, including events you can purchase specialty tickets for.
Along with a booth and photo op from D23, you’ll be able to find various other vendors including (but not limited to):
- Adventures By Disney
- Clock Financial
- Disney Vacation Club
- Orange County GLBT Center
- Edge Media Network

Although Gay Days was traditionally held in October, the event moved to September to avoid conflicts with Halloween events at the parks. You can visit the Gay Days Welcome Center now at the Trillium Room at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort. It will be open until 8PM PST today, September 17th, 2021, from 9AM to 8PM PST on Saturday September 18th, and 9AM to 3PM PST on Sunday September 19th.
