As the popularity of streaming services like Netflix and Disney+ continue to rise, we have seen more and more big names and film-level productions head to the at-home services.

And today, a major production deal was announced for the biggest streaming service out there right now. According to CNN Business, Steven Spielberg is partnering with Netflix! We’re going to look a little at what that could mean both for Netflix and for the entertainment industry in general!
According to CNN Business, Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin Partners has signed a new deal with Netflix. The famous director is a household name, known for classic such as Jaws, Jurassic Park, and the Indiana Jones film series.

Spielberg’s new partnership with Netflix “will include multiple new feature films per year for the service” according to CNN. With so many successful films in the past, Spielberg is showing his confidence in Netflix and streaming in general as the future of movie-watching by partnering with the company.

While there isn’t an official length for the partnership yet, and Spielberg said he would continue to work with other partners, such as Universal Pictures.
Streaming has been growing in popularity, with big entertainment companies like Disney releasing some movies exclusively on a streaming service!
