It wouldn’t be the start of another week without a construction update in Disney World, now would it?

And, we’re heading back to the Magic Kingdom to take a look at an update on the latest construction taking place on Main Street, U.S.A.!

After Disney announced that the Main Street Confectionery would be closing to receive updates and “interactive updates,” the refurbishment process got a few extended changes. Originally, when the sweets shop closed back in March, the construction was meant to last through June. However, now it’s been pushed back until at least July 17th, but it could be even longer depending on additional park hours and calendar details coming soon.

When we visited today, the Confectionery was surrounded by construction walls as progress continues on the updated elements inside the iconic shop. But, even if the Confectionery is closed currently, that doesn’t mean you can find fan-favorite goodies from the bakery elsewhere!

Guests can still find many of their favorite snacks and treats from the Confectionery over in the Emporium and Main Street Cinema temporarily! So, you don’t have to miss out on that cotton candy or a rice krispie treat during your visit.
