A Popular Marvel Movie Has Been Removed From Disney+ Again!

Disney+ is home to tons of Disney movies, shows, and content from other outlets, such as Marvel, Fox, and National Geographic.

Even though new content gets added regularly to the streaming service, not everything in the Disney canon actually makes it on — and even if it does, it might not last.

Now, SceneGeek.net reports that The Wolverine has been removed from Disney+, but it’s not as straightforward as it seems.

Over on Disney+, there are lots of X-Men offerings, but The Wolverine is not available! It was previously added to the platform in January, but it’s no longer an option.

This is particularly noteworthy because this is the second time that The Wolverine has yo-yo’d off Disney+ in the last year. It was brought on in September, removed in December, then brought back again in January.

It looks like we’ve got quite a situation here! Apparently, although Disney does own the rights to Fox, the film, and the X-Men characters, there are still some licensing issues that keep the movie from being able to stay on Disney+.

Hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon, and The Wolverine will be available for full-time viewing! We will definitely be staying on the lookout for this one to return, and we will keep you posted on any updates related to Disney+.
