Disney's NEWEST Piece of Merchandise Already Has Over 3,000 Pre-Orders!

Well, the first piece of “merchandise” in honor of Disney World’s golden anniversary became available for pre-order just a few weeks ago — a license plate! Florida Residents have gone crazy for it, and now it will be moving towards production.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, as of today, 3,568 people have pre-ordered the new 50th Anniversary License Plate. This far surpasses the 3,000 pre-orders requirement that must be reached before a new license plate can begin production in the state of Florida.

This is the first specialty license plate released by Disney and all of the proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida. Disney has had a longstanding relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and has been a part of branding more than 8,000 Disney-inspired wishes each year at Disney World.

Those who have already pre-ordered the specialty license plate will still have to wait until they go into production and make their way to the many tax collector offices in the state, but they are one step closer to adding a touch of Disney to their bumper!

If you’re interested in pre-ordering the plate and are a Florida-registered car owner, you can still do so. Visit your local County Tax Collector’s offices or License Plate Agencies (DMVs) and snag a pre-sale voucher right now for $25 plus applicable state administration fees.
