First Look: Cinderella Lobby Statue Revealed for the Disney Wish Cruise Ship!

Disney Cruise Line currently has several fantastic ships for guests to choose from for future adventures, but soon there will be a few more enchanting ships for guests to experience!

Although one of Disney’s upcoming ships –The Disney Wish — has been delayed and will now greet its first guests in the summer of 2022 (as opposed to earlier in 2022), during today’s Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration, Disney shared some great news about this upcoming cruise ship — we officially know which character will be featured in the ship’s lobby!

Disney Cruise Line may have suspended all cruises through the end of February 2021, and canceled select cruises over 7-nights, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t still getting Disney Cruise Line news! We’ve already seen itineraries shared for Spring of 2022, and now we’ve heard more about one new ship that’s set to sail in 2022 — the Disney Wish!

In the main lobby of each Disney Cruise Line ship, you’ll find a statue of a Disney character. During today’s Christmas Special, Disney announced that a beautiful statue of the one and only Cinderella will be featured in the lobby of the Disney Wish!

Disney has shared the following about the lobby on the Disney Wish: “Inspired by the beauty of a fairytale castle, the Grand Hall makes a bold welcoming statement, setting the tone for an enchanted family vacation from the moment guests step onboard the Disney Wish. It is an idyllic setting for Cinderella, whose timeless story is the perfect example of magic transforming wishes into dreams and dreams into reality – very fitting for a vessel named the Disney Wish, don’t you think?”

Seems Fairy Godmother has truly made some magic happen for this special princess.

Although Disney has noted that cruising will be the last arm of their business to resume, we’re glad to hear more news about the future of Disney Cruise Line and its newest ship. In addition to the Disney Wish, 2 other new ships are being built and are set to be completed by 2024 and 2025.
