Christmas is a time for traditions, and of course, making things merry and bright. We’ve watched as Disney has decked out its parks and resorts with tons of Christmas decorations.
Well, over in Disneyland they’ve done something to continue a long-standing tradition while spreading the Christmas cheer that we’ve seen all throughout Disney’s parks. And we won’t lie, it touches our hearts a little bit!
Walt Disney had a private apartment installed atop the Disneyland Firehouse so he had a place to go after working late nights or when he needed to spend time with his family. A long-standing tradition of Walt’s Apartment is to light a Victorian-style lamp in order to allow Walt’s spirit to shine down onto the park. His apartment has gotten a festive little touch to it now, too!
Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, took to Instagram to share some heartwarming photos of a Christmas tree that’s decorating Walt Disney’s apartment in Disneyland. How sweet!
We’re glad to see that Walt’s Apartment still got some festive touches, even though Disneyland remains closed. We’ll share more holiday news with you as we get closer and closer to Christmas!
