Disney acquired 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures in March 2019.
Since then, the companies have been producing films under The Walt Disney Company. It was announced today that new and original movies by 20th Century and Searchlight will premiere exclusively on Hulu.
Hulu President Kelly Campbell revealed during the Disney Investors Day Presentation that Hulu will be expanding its original movie content. The new films will be produced by 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures.
This announcement comes after the news that Disney+ will offer a new bundle including an ad-free Hulu option. Campbell noted that more details regarding the new content will be revealed in the next coming months. Stay tuned for more breaking news as we tune into Investors Day announcements!
