Actress Daisy Ridley stole our hearts as Rey in Star Wars so we’ve really been looking forward to what she might do next.
But it looks like Daisy could be staying under the Disney umbrella for a little while longer with a new project that could keep her on Disney+.
Deadline reports that Daisy will star in a Disney+ film called “Young Woman & The Sea” based on the book of the same name by Glenn Stout about Gertrude “Trudy” Ederle, the first woman to swim across the English Channel.
The project will feature some Disney heavyweights behind the camera, too. Jeff Nathanson, who wrote Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, will serve as a writer.
Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced the Pirates of the Caribbean movies is co-producing with Chad Olman. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil director Joachim Rønning is directing. We’ll keep you updated when we find out more about the movie!
