Our Favorite Disney Parks Popcorn Buckets of All Time

When it comes to collectible Disney Parks merchandise, popcorn buckets certainly have a solid fan base!

And we can see why so many people love popcorn buckets! Guests can usually find several options around the parks, and designs vary from standard Disney World imagery to seriously intricate seasonal offerings. Oh, and then there’s the popcorn! After initially purchasing the bucket, guests can snag $2 popcorn refills for the duration of their stay.

Pumbaa Popcorn Bucket

This Pumbaa popcorn bucket was introduced in 2023 and was an immediate hit at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. He was accompanied by a Timon sipper, but Pumbaa is a star on his own! The Lion King is one of the most popular Disney movies of all time, so it’s no surprise this one made our list.

Musical Holiday Popcorn Bucket

Ever wanted to combine a popcorn bucket and a music box? Well, Disney did in 2022! Check out the Musical Holiday Popcorn Bucket below. There’s no mistaking that this is all about the holidays with red and green all over. The holiday scenes featuring Mickey & Friends rotate as it plays music, which is why this makes it into our favorites list!

Oogie Boogie Popcorn Bucket

We saw the Oogie Boogie Popcorn Bucket in Disney World during the Halloween season the past few years. And in 2020, he even came served with churros. With glowing eyes that stare right into our soul, Oogie Boogie makes for the ultimate spooky season snacking accessory!

Cauldron Popcorn Buckets

Another design that has popped up the past few years around Halloween, the Cauldron Popcorn Buckets came in purple, green, and orange. We love the creepy vibe of the bubbling cauldron, and don’t worry, the top of the bucket lights up in case you get too scared of the dark while hauling it around!

Simba Popcorn Bucket

Okay, this one is just so precious! The Simba Popcorn Bucket made his debut at Feeding Ground Popcorn Cart in Disney’s Animal Kingdom in January 2020, and it was love at first sight for us. The baby Simba bucket is posed like he’s being held up by Rafiki on Pride Rock. Just imagine the epic photoshoot you could have around the park with this bucket!

‘Steamboat Willie’ Popcorn Buckets

Who doesn’t love a classic? The Steamboat Mickey and Steamboat Minnie Popcorn Buckets arrived in Magic Kingdom in early 2020, although Steamboat Mickey was a Disneyland transplant. We love the grayscale color scheme of the buckets, which nods to Mickey’s first-ever on-screen appearance in the 1928 short film, Steamboat Willie.

‘Toy Story’ Alien Christmas Popcorn Bucket

As much as we love the regular Alien Popcorn Bucket, the Alien Christmas Popcorn Bucket is even cuter. We just can’t take how precious he looks in his buffalo plaid get-up! And it gets bonus points since it still incorporates the Pizza Planet logo on his plaid PJs.

Mine Train Popcorn Bucket

The Mine Train Popcorn Bucket came out several years ago as a nod to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom. And just like the cars on the coaster, the body of the bucket swings back and forth! Oh, and if you happened to get your hands on a few of these, you could hitch the buckets together to build a train. So it’s basically part popcorn bucket, part toy, which we’re totally on board with.

These are the popcorn buckets we’re STILL thinking about months — or even years — after they made their debut! Disney usually offers different bucket designs seasonally, and the more popular designs can get snatched up pretty quickly. So if you ever spot a popcorn bucket in the parks that you just have to add to your collection, act fast!
