Help Cast Members in Need and Listen to Holiday Tunes With This NEW Album Made By Disney Mouseketeers!

Earlier this year, Disney announced that it would be laying off approximately 28,000 Cast Members from its Parks, Experiences and Products division.

We’ve since gotten more information about these layoffs and have compiled a list of ways that you can help Cast Members in need. Now, we’re learning about one special project that has reunited quite a few Mouseketeers to help even more Cast Members! If you love holiday music and want to help Cast Members, this is your chance!

Cast Member Pantry is an organization that works to provide free food essentials once a month to Cast Members in need. You can learn more about Cast Member Pantry and see how to donate directly here. But soon there’ll be another way that YOU can help Cast Member Pantry collect the funds it needs to provide these much-needed items to Cast Members while enjoying a bit of holiday music.

After 30 years, Cast Members from all 7 seasons of the 90’s ‘All New’ Mickey Mouse Club have reunited to record the “Why? Because It’s Christmas” holiday album, which will benefit some great causes.The album is presented in partnership with MusiCares and The Brave of Heart Fund, and is set to be released on November 27th at MMCHolidays.com.

A portion of the gross proceeds of this album will benefit The Brave of Heart Fund (which offers financial support to the families of healthcare workers who have lost their lives due to COVID-19), MusiCares (which provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need), and Cast Member Pantry. The album will be released on the MMC website, as well as the iTunes Store, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other locations.

Chasen Hampton, a Mouseketeer, said “The recent COVID related layoffs have been excruciating for our MMC family…Our beloved magic makers are at the heart of any memory ever made in the place we all call home. The amount of smiles they’ve created, memories they’ve made and dreams they’ve granted… that’s forever, and we couldn’t be more proud to call them family.” Dale Godboldo, another Mouseketeer and Founder of Always In The Club/MMC’89 said, in regards to their decision to also benefit Cast Member Pantry, “We feel that once a Cast member, always a Cast member, so we couldn’t be more proud to help them in any way that we can.”

In total, 17 Mouseketeers have reunited to make this album! Crank up this music and you’ll find tracks from En Vogue’s Rhona Bennett, The Voice’s Tony Lucca, Deedee Mango Hall from Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe, and more!
