NEWS: The Making of Harry Potter Experience in London Is Set To Temporarily Close Soon

Ever wanted to step into some of the most iconic sets from the Harry Potter films, get an up-close look at the props and costumes used, or learn more about how some of your very favorite special and visual effects were created? Then you’ve got to stop by “The Making of Harry Potter” experience in London, England!

But, a trip to this undoubtedly magical studio tour will have to wait for a little while as the Studio has just announced that the experience will be closing temporarily very soon.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London just announced via Instagram (@wbtourlondon) that, pursuant to new government guidelines, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London — The Making of Harry Potter will be temporarily closing from November 5th through December 2nd.

If you had a booking between those dates, you will automatically get a refund, and if you used a gift ticket, your booking will be automatically canceled and your gift ticket will be revalidated. The Studio’s notice specifies that they anticipate reopening on December 3rd, pending government guidance.

We visited The Making of Harry Potter website for more details and saw that the closure will actually begin at 8PM on November 4th. In addition, the Studio has decided to “temporarily suspend ticket sales for the remainder of 2020 and 2021.” According to the website, this decision was made to minimize any further booking disruptions.

This is not the first attraction to have to close for a second time due to government regulations in response to the global pandemic. Disneyland Paris recently closed for a second time, and just a few months ago Hong Kong Disneyland had to close for a second time as well (although it has since reopened again).
