NEWS: Disney+ Delays ‘Falcon and Winter Soldier’ Until 2021

Many Disney films have experienced delays in production due to the global health crisis. Mulan, Black Widow, and the new Star Wars series are just a few movies that have been affected.

Disney+ films and series are experiencing delays in production as well. Earlier, we reported that the new Marvel series, The Falcon and Winter Soldier, paused filming due to an outbreak in one of their shooting locations. While the series was set to release in August, halting production caused Disney to push back this date to Fall 2020. It’s now been confirmed that Disney has pushed back the series premiere once again.

The promotional page for Falcon and Winter Soldier on Disney+ was just updated from “Coming Fall 2020″ to “Coming 2021.” No specific date was given for the initial delay and it’s unclear what month the series will release in 2021.

The story of Falcon and Winter Soldier takes place following Avengers: Endgame. Sam Wilson (Captain America) and Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) embark on global adventures and encounter new and old Marvel villains like Baron Zemo (Captain America: Civil War). We’ll continue to keep a lookout for specific release dates. In the meantime, Marvel fans can get their fill of action-packed media with the new trailer of WandaVision, coming soon to Disney+!
