Disney+ has been seeing a lot of exciting content recently, especially since Hamilton made its debut earlier this month.

Although we were looking forward to the start of Marvel’s upcoming releases on the streaming service beginning next month, it looks like we’ll have to wait a little while longer for more super hero content.
Back in March, The Falcon and the Winter Solider paused their filming in Prague. However, since production hasn’t been able to pick back up, the new Marvel series has been delayed. At this time, The Falcon and the Winter Solider will not be making an August premiere on Disney+ (but will hopefully be coming soon).

Entertainment Weekly has stated that the show with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will hopefully have an upcoming premiere date announced if filming is able to pick up again soon.

The new Marvel series will take place after Avengers: Endgame and follow Sam Wilson (who has just become the new Captain America) along with Bucky Barnes (AKA the Winter Soldier) as they go on “a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience.” Along the way, they’ll come across new and old villains, like Baron Zemo from Captain America: Civil War.
Although we’re bummed we won’t be able to wait the new series in August, we totally think it will be worth the wait! We’ll keep you updated on when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier expects to premiere!
Here’s everything else coming to Disney+ this August!

It would not surprise me if the date has been pushed back because of the delay in the Black Widow movie release. There may be continuity problems in the MCU if they are not released in the order they are intended to be.
It’ll be a coin toss between this one or The Mandalorian Season Two.
