We are back for the first day of reopening at Disney Springs! The shopping and dining district has its first phase of reopening today, and we’ve been stopping by all of the retail shops and restaurants to see what the current protocols in place are.
We learned last week that Joffrey’s would be part of the reopening, and one of the top questions we were asked was how does one carry around a cup of coffee while following Disney Springs’ protocol for keeping a face mask on? This was our experience.
When we got to Joffrey’s there was already a line of people waiting to get in. Outside the shop, there were markers on the ground to make sure that guests maintained their distance.
Inside, there were similar markers (though these were cutely shaped as coffee beans!), ensuring guests kept space between one another.
Also inside was a sign welcoming guests back to Joffrey’s!
When we asked both a team member and the manager whether we would be allowed to drink the coffee while walking around, we were told that you can lower your mask to drink, and then replace it again. Notably, the team also shared that, prior to their reopening, state regulators had come and done a safety training for their team.
While originally hoping to order a coffee with a selfie of Molly screen-printed on top, their machine was temporarily broken, so a coffee with Mickey’s face seemed like a worthy choice!
We will continue to update with our experience throughout the day!
Stay tuned as we bring you LIVE updates from the first day back at Disney Springs here!
