Round One is Over, and Here’s What Survived the Magic Kingdom Bracket of Our Extinct Disney Attractions Throwdown!

From Disney World attractions to Disney movies and even Disney songs, we’ve been taking hosting some AllEars Throwdowns to see what Disney favorites would reign supreme.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Earlier this week, we began the AllEars Disney World Extinct Attractions Throwdown, and even WE were surprised by how competitive it got!

AllEars readers have voted on the match ups on the AllEars Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. With Round One of Magic Kingdom ending last night, here’s where we stand so far.

The bracket may still be young, but WOW, there were already a few major upsets in the first night of voting! Perhaps the biggest surprise came when Stitch’s Great Escape took down its predecessor, Alien Encounter, winning by a SLIM margin when all the votes were tallied. Stitch will take on Spectromagic  in the next round, a match up we can’t wait to see!

Another close match up came with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea going up against Skyway. While 20,000 Leagues won over on Facebook and Twitter, the overwhelming votes for Skyway on Instagram helped win one for the OG gondola system!

  1. The fact that y’all would rather have Stitch burp in your face than be attacked by an alien from XS-Tech….

    1. Amen to that. Nothing against the character Stitch or his movies, but this attraction was an abomination that replaced a truly clever and exciting show that was unlike anything ever seen in a Disney park before.
