Some Disney movies have all the luck! Star Wars currently has three rides based on the franchise at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Pixar films like Toy Story and Finding Nemo also have multiple rides across the parks.

While it would be a dream come true if EVERY Disney movie had a ride somewhere in the world, we think some movies deserve to be bumped to the top of the priority list.
Here are six Disney movies that we would like to see a ride made for ASAP!
Coco
With rumors swirling every now and then on whether or not a Coco ride will be added to a Disney park, it’s clear that the demand is there for this attraction! This ride could be a huge celebration of music, color, and culture, as Miguel goes on an adventure to the Land of the Dead!
Unique effects could be used throughout this attraction as the riders traverse between the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead. While many have speculated whether a Coco attraction would replace Gran Fiesta Tour in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion, this attraction could easily be build on a larger scale (although moving into the Mexico Pavilion does seem to make perfect sense)!
Atlantis
This lesser-known but beloved Disney film would make the perfect underwater attraction. We’re thinking something along the lines of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea from Tokyo DisneySea. There could be a pre-show queue experience in Milo’s office, and we can be recruited to join a team of explorers to discover Atlantis! Then, we could board a submarine-like ride vehicle that “dives” under the sea and uncovers the lost city.

The Emperor’s New Groove
This was one of the first films we thought of when coming up with this list. There’s literally a ride IN THE MOVIE! What a thrill it would be to board a roller-coaster type vehicle, and as you depart the loading station, you hear Yzma exclaim, “Pull the lever, Kronk.” And then chaos ensues! Maybe it’s a traditional drop, maybe it’s a free fall, or maybe it’s a launch, but to be thrown into a high-speed adventure as Yzma screams “WRONG LEVERRRR!!!!” would be iconic.
Moana
Imagine sailing across the sea alongside Moana and Maui on a journey to return the heart of Te Fiti! A movie like this easily lends itself to being some sort of water ride, but maybe it can be a hybrid! Imagine a roller coaster or some sort of high-thrills dark ride experience with water elements! This could be an incredible Imagineering feat.

Wreck-It Ralph
A Sugar Rush racing-type attraction in a similar style of Radiator Springs Racers would be the perfect model for a Wreck-It Ralph ride! Or perhaps a virtual reality, simulator-like attraction would fit the “digital” world more appropriately. Either way, this ride could be jam-packed with thrills. Maybe it could even be combined with some sort of game, with a point system like Toy Story Mania, to fit in with the overarching video game theme. And thanks to Ralph Breaks the Internet, it would be the perfect opportunity to add a ton of other Disney characters to the ride!
Tangled
Luckily we don’t have to wait much longer for Tangled to get the ride it has always deserved! But for those who are unable to travel to Tokyo Disneyland, we would love to see a Tangled attraction come to Disney World as well! Surely Disney meant to add more than just restrooms when they said Tangled was coming to Magic Kingdom!

Wouldn’t a dark boat ride attraction in the style of Pirates of the Caribbean or Frozen Ever After be spectacular? We’re floating along when all of a sudden, thousands of lanterns appear! The music swells from “I See the Light”, and the on-ride photo is taken as we’re all ugly crying from the beauty unfolding before us.

And maybe perhaps there’s some added thrill! They could add a couple of drops as we try to escape Mother Gothel and her henchmen! We could also sail through other iconic scenes from the film (and perhaps a stop at the Snuggly Duckling is in order!). We can’t wait to see Tokyo’s grand reveal!

The fact that the ride to the lab in Emperor’s New Groove has not been incorporated into an attraction is a travesty. If you’ve ever ridden Verbolten and Busch Gardens Williamsburg, there’s a part where (spoiler alert) the ENTIRE TRACK DROPS….how perfect would this feature be for an Yzma and Kronk ride? Too bad the movie is so criminally underrated that it will never happen, but man, what an opportunity.
