It’s hard to imagine a world without Disney parks. However, for the past several weeks, that has been our reality! With all of Disney’s theme parks still closed worldwide, we’ve searched high and low for ways to get our ‘Disney fix’.
Well turns out there is ONE spot in Disney World that is indeed still open! Ever heard of “FootGolf“? This soccer-golf hybrid can be played at Disney’s Oak Trail golf course, which has remained open at this time for regular golf as well.
Upon checking in, guests receive a set of soccer balls to use while they play. As a health and safety precaution, ALL of the soccer balls are sanitized before being checked out.
The rules of FootGolf are similar to regular golf, but with a soccer twist! Instead of a club and a golfball, you have your feet and legs to use to kick the soccer balls into the holes!
At Disney’s Oak Trail, you play over a series of nine holes. When played in groups of four, Disney claims that a round should take approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
This is an awesome way to get outside and stay active with your family if you live in the Orlando area, all while still staying a safe distance away from others! Currently, FootGolf is being offered on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons.
The FootGolf course is mixed in with the regular golf course, but don’t worry! Disney has made it easy for players to identify where to “tee off” from. Regular golfers tee off from the Mickey markers, while FootGolfers tee off from the orange markers! Likewise, regular golfers go to the blue flags, while FootGolfers look for the orange flags.
Disney has added special precautions to keep their players and Cast Members safe during this time. You can pre-pay for your round of golf or FootGolf online as to avoid the golf shop upon arrival. All equipment has been sanitized, including the golf carts (which all come with a little Disney touch).
And, of course, Disney is reminding all guests to maintain a six foot distance from other players at all times.
Interested in playing? You can sign up online for a “tee time”. If you enroll your kids in Disney’s Kicker’s Club, their 6th round of FootGolf is free if you play five times in 90 days!

The other 3 Disney 18-hole golf courses are also still open.
