New Scavenger Hunt at Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Introduces You to the Creatures of Batuu!

The galaxy of Star Wars is full of creatures great and small, from the mighty Rancor to the mischievous Kowakian Monkey Lizard. But, how many do you know by name?

The Creature Stall at Galaxy’s Edge is full of furry, scaled, and… uh… chitinous friends.

Guests at the Creature Stall at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge can get a closer look at the wildlife of Batuu with a new scavenger hunt that just dropped at Disneyland. Best of all, it’s completely free!

The new scavenger hunt is called Bina’s Guide to the Creatures of Batuu, and is written by Bina, the owner of the Creature Stall! It’s an adorable “hand-drawn” booklet filled with pictures of all sorts of alien creatures.

This thing is adorable!

On the opening page, Bina introduce herself, and lays out the scavenger hunt she wants you to embark on!

Bina greets you with a handwritten message on the first pages.
Before sending you out on an adventure! THE BLACK SPIRE MUST BE EXPLORED!

The new scavenger hunt is geared for younglings ages 3-9, but guests of all ages are welcome to enjoy the adventure while supplies last! Each page in the book features a different alien resident of Batuu, along with the location they can be found around the park.

Each page also features a short activity you can only solve by seeing the creature in person.

Some of the featured creatures, like Baby Sarlacc and the adorable Loth-Cat are visible in person. Others, however, can only be identified by what they leave behind…

Footprints!

Footprints are a recurring Easter egg at the Disney Parks, and visitors have likely walked over these details without realizing, but Bina’s guide will help you identify all of the tracks and trails around the park.

Be sure to bring some crayons or a pencil for this hunt, as you’ll be asked to do some field sketches.

Currently, we’ve only seen this activity at Disneyland, but here’s hoping it finds its way over to Batuu East as well!  It’s fun to see some of the most fearsome creatures in the Galaxy like Dianoga and Sarlaacs be treated like any other form of wildlife instead of scary monsters. It yet another element that really helps Galaxy’s Edge feel alive!
