If you’ve ever tossed a coin in the iconic foundation at Disneyland Paris over the past 27 years, you’ve played a part in the park’s donations to Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris.
The Hôpitaux de France uses those coins to support its annual Pièces Jaunes (“Yellow Coins”) campaign for hospitals across France. Today, Disneyland Paris welcomed 300 children and their families (from hospitals and establishments supported by the foundation) to celebrate the 2020 Pièces Jaunes campaign.
The children and their families were joined by Brigitte Macron, chairwoman of the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris’ and wife of the French president.
At the day-long events, the kids were able to see Disneyland Paris’ new Frozen Celebration, along with getting to visit some of their other favorite rides and attractions. They were also able to paint Disney-themed frescos with the help of Disney VoluntEARS, which will be hung on the walls of hospital pediatric wards. To finish the day off, they were treated to a private concert with performances by Vianney, Joyce Jonathan, Kendji Girac, Christophe Maé, Boulevard des Airs and Claudio Capéo.
We hope the kids and their families had a truly magical day at Disneyland Paris! To learn more about the work of VoluntEARS, you can watch a video Disneyland Paris released here!
