If you’ve been craving a Kitchen Sink and the charm of an old-timey soda shop, Walt Disney World’s Beaches & Cream Soda Shop will soon reopen to bring you all the seaside feels at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts!
The casual, table service restaurant closed earlier this year for an overhaul, and now we know it will reopen to guests beginning December 26! Advance Dining Reservations can be made now on DisneyWorld.com.
And now Disney Parks Blog has revealed that the restaurant received a much-needed expansion! The expansion crept into space previously occupied by the Resort’s arcade. The refreshed space still “embraces the timeless charm of an old-fashioned soda fountain”, which will be a relief to fans who appreciated the pastel, beachy decor.
Rose-colored booths, seafoam half-walls, and cream-colored tables are joined by colorful padded chairs and softly-colored globe lighting. Artwork seems to embrace the beach theme as well. The restaurant will also still have bar seating with bistro-style stools and feature an iconic jukebox — a staple of the old restaurant.
The menu is expected to continue serving soda fountain favorites, but Disney Parks Blog highlighted a few new items, including a Seared Salmon Filet Sandwich, a French Dip Sandwich, and loaded tater tots (which seem pretty similar to the Sock Hop Fries the shop used to serve). There will also be more plant-based options, including vegan loaded tots and a vegan burger.
And to wash it all down? The Kitchen Sink and the Mickey Pants/Minnie Skirt ice cream sundaes will be joined by new Cookie Fries! We’re not sure which sauce to start with: strawberry, chocolate, carmel, or marshmallow cream!
We know a lot of you will be excited to dig into some soda shop bites at the refreshed Beaches & Cream, so let us know in the comments below what you’re going to order up first! And you can leave an AllEars Reader Review in the box below, too!
