Disneyland Park will debut a brand-new daytime parade in early 2020 called Magic Happens. Until now, Disney has given Spring 2020 as the season when magic will happen on Main Street, U.S.A., but the official start date is even sooner than that!
Magic Happens will debut on February 28! The parade will unite color, music, and fabulous Disney characters, and now we know a little more about who will be coming to spread the magic!
We already knew Moana was finding her way to Disneyland…
…but now we know Maui, hero to all, will join her on his own island-themed float. (If Pua is really on the float, we will swoon!)
Disney had also previously released concept art for a Sleeping Beauty float, but Aurora and Moana won’t be the only royals making Magic Happen(s)!
You are nokk going to believe this, but the parade will also include a Frozen 2 float! From the concept art it appears Elsa, Anna, and Olaf will be guided by a Nokk on the front of the float! It looks like Sven is hanging out on the back as Kristoff follows pushing a cart.
The final piece of concept art released so far celebrates Coco. We saw this artwork back when Disney made the first announcement for Magic Happens at August’s D23 Expo, but we still can’t fully get over the artistry here.
Magic Happens will be brought to life with a new song from Todrick Hall and “an energetic musical score.” Disney further says the new parade will show guests “that we don’t need wings to fly, that shooting stars were made to wish upon, and that magic doesn’t stop at midnight”. Indeed.
